Banana Tea Bread


1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2-3 ripe bananas


Beat shortening until creamy. Add sugar and eggs; beat until mixed well. Add rest of ingredients, beat until smooth. Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Variations: 1 c. raisins 1 c. apricots (dried) 1 c. prunes (dried)
