New England Banana Bread 2


2 lg. ripe bananas
1/2 c. melted margarine
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour, hard
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg


Mash bananas in bowl with fork. Add sugar, margarine and egg; beat well. Combine dry ingredients to banana mixture. This batter will be a little lumpy. Spread in greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until "toothpick" done. Makes 2 loaves.
