Banana Nut Bread
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
3 tbsp. milk
2 over ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift dry ingredients; set aside. In large bowl, mix sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time, and milk, mixing well. Add flour mixture and bananas alternately to sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into lightly greased 8x4x2 inch loaf pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes.
